I don't think so...
Isn't that a Masonic symbol? _________________ "As there is nothing before or outside of God he must contain within himself the ground of his existence..." Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling

Ha! The Yahoo group you saw that on is "Temple of Reason" , which is run by Andrew Zito, who is a fruit-loop in my most humble opinion...
He is a "Fundamentalist Deist"... He declared that they pyramid/eye is the symbol of Deism...
In essence, Deism does not have a symbol that is agreed upon by very many people. Now, different groups have had different symbols...
Here at DD, I use a "D-style Mobius strip in rainbow colors". A Mobius is a figure that appears to have two sides, but actually only has one.
When the UDC was in existance, they used a mobius strip that was twisted into the shape of the infinity symbol... Let me see if I can find the link for that...
I know a group that used a sine wave..... Steve Dowell likes the hurricane symbol.
The point is that we are the meaning makers.... choose your own symbol, and make its meaning. I like the mobius because there are options for jewlery and other things... it symbolizes something that is infinite, and is more complicated than it appears...
I used to wear an infinity mobius necklace, like Christians wear crosses (and I still do sometimes). I want to have one made that is a D style mobius with a chalice on the inside...

Check them out, that's where I got my mobius jewlery from...
Choose your own symbol....

How about something like an asterisk (*)? Along with the male/female symbols it is used to denote childbirth. It also has been used to symbolize creation. It's center represents the origin, whatever you believe that to be, and the arms radiating out from it the world. To me it looks like the birth of the universe in the Big Bang. It is also elegantly simple while at the same time universally recognizible. _________________ ESSE EST PERCEPI |
